RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Research focuses on the integration of multiple sensory cues in the human cortex using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Currently investigating the responses of sensory processing areas to auditory, visual and somatosensory stimulation. This project is focused on the response of unimodal cortices to cross modal and multimodal stimulation using epoch-based and event-related fMRI in normal controls. Future studies are planned using patient populations that exhibit sensory processing deficits such as in Alzheimer's disease.
