SHORT BIOGRAPHY:
 |
Dr. Davis has been strongly involved numerical methods for electromagnetics as well as microwave measurements and material characterization. In the recent years, he has been coordinating with faculty in Mechanical Engineering to develop improved material processing using microwaves. He has also done extensive work in antenna modeling, measurement, and characterization. The current emphasis in antenna measurement and characterization has focused on both small antennas and ones useful for ultra-wideband communications. The emphasis on the characterization is to develop a simple model to describe the antenna transmission and pattern performance.
The two basic principles guiding his research are developing a fundamental basis for the work and applying past experience in modeling and development to the current problem at hand - leading to fundamental models of the problems and measurements or simulations to support the basic models. |
