This lab houses a 7-camera MotionAnalysis motion tracking system, specifically configured for motion capture of upper limb movements. The Hawk cameras offer 640 x 480 full resolution at up to 200 frames per second, and can be synchronized with electromyographic (EMG) and force recordings.
This lab also includes computational resources to support dynamic simulation of human movement. These resources include a Dell Precision 390 workstation with EVa Real-Time Software and SIMM (Musculographics, Inc), kinematic modeling software to record and analyze three-dimensional kinematic data from the multi-camera system, and will include a Dell XPS 720 machine with OpenSim software for generating dynamic simulations of upper limb movement based on generic and patient specific musculoskeletal models.
