The Virginia Tech - Wake Forest University School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (SBES) is a unique partnership that consists of 76 faculty (25 primary and 51 core/joint) across ten departments, nine research institutes, and four medical schools. We are embarking on an exciting growth plan that will double our faculty by adding 50 positions within the next 5 years. The Department of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (SBES) of Wake Forest University School of Medicine has an excellent opportunity for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship. The successful candidate will initiate and maintain active research programs and contribute to the educational mission of the department at the graduate level. We are seeking applicants across areas of biomedical engineering, synergistic with the current research strategic plan for Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Particular disease areas of interest include cancer, aging, diabetes, and regenerative medicine. Technology areas include imaging and nanomedicine. All areas in keeping with the research strategic plan will be considered. Qualified candidates at the level of Associate and Full Professor will also be considered.
