The BODy Lab focuses on translational research using novel Optical diagnostic and therapeutic Devices to solve unmet Biomedical healthcare needs.

The broader impacts of this unique area of research will: 1) improve quality of life for patients, 2) advance the frontiers of knowledge, and 3) educate the next generation of biomedical engineers.
Dr. Christopher Rylander is the Principal Investigator of the BODy Lab. He is an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech jointly appointed in the School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (SBES) and the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
